The Senior MEP Coordinator is responsible for:
Job Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to):
- Provide MEP services for a project site.
- Review, analyze and resolve mechanical and electrical (M/E) field construction problems, discrepancies or interferences with A/E, owner and/or M/E contractor.
- Coordinate the mechanical, electrical and structural elements of all projects, coordinate with contractors and design engineers, identify and resolve all potential interferences and conflicts.
- Provide interpretation of plan, detail sheets and specifications for M/E contractors or craft supervision.
- Establish exterior-interior grade and working lines for self-performed M/E work.
- Provide leadership to other team members in the department by displaying resourcefulness, self-starting work habits and creativity in problem solving based on information and judgment.
- Work with minimum assistance and supervision is required.
- Able to effectively communicate with immediate team members, team members in other departments, immediate managers, managers in other departments, executives, customers, partners and craft team members.
- Responsible for 1-8 Field Engineers.
Qualifications:
- High-quality, professional-level work product, a positive attitude and behavior traits, initiative and productivity are expected in this position.
- Performance should meet and/or exceed the positions established standards, goals and accountabilities.
- Position requires engineering and at least bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of M/E construction engineering experience.
- Must have thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
- Can substitute with working for a general contractor as an MEP Coordinator.
- Candidate must be a team player and have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Duties require physical abilities such as repetitive hand and finger motion, sitting, standing, walking, as well as extending hands and arms in work areas.
- Walking job sites that may include uneven and changing site conditions; as well as climbing stairs, ladders, etc.
- The individual is required to occasionally move around the office and constantly operate a computer and other office machinery, etc.
