SAN DIEGO, CA—Level 10 Construction announced today that it has been named the design-build contractor for the new Maintenance and Operations buildings at Palomar College in San Marcos.

Mike Conroy, Vice President of Operations for Level 10 Construction’s San Diego office, said the $13 million area includes two new buildings that will house offices and workshops currently located in a compound consisting of eight different structures.

The new Maintenance and Operations buildings at Palomar College will combine all of the facilities departments, including warehousing, grounds, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, custodial, painting, and maintenance under one roof. The architect for the 28,000-sq.-ft. project is BNIM. The facilities areas will be located near the front of the campus, at the southwest corner of the college just north of Mission Road.

Construction of the Maintenance and Operations buildings is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2016 and be complete late in 2017. It will be designed to LEED Gold certification standards. The Level 10 team includes Rob Leming as Preconstruction Manager, Dennis Daley as Project Manager and Paul Williamson as the Senior Superintendent.

Level 10 was also recently named the general contractor for several other higher education projects in San Diego, including the remodeling of the Manchester Conference Center, currently in construction. Level 10 has recently completed a major alteration of Loma Hall, home to the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering at the University of San Diego (USD), and a design-build renovation of Mayer Hall’s Palacci Lab for the Physical Sciences Department at UC San Diego (UCSD).
