30,156-sq.-ft. seismic retrofit upgrade and renovation of the student facility, originally built in 1922. Work includes core drilling and pinning of concrete structure, adding shear walls and footings, and wood-frame strengthening, which requires clay tile roof removal and reinstall.
Project may also include adding an elevator system, relocating stairs, revising the floor plan, performing electrical, fire sprinkler, HVAC and other upgrades. Scope includes improving and upgrading the 18,600-sq.-ft. courtyard area outside the building, along with below-grade repair and waterproofing.
The building will be partially occupied during construction.
