Renovation of 2,500 SF laboratory located on the 2nd floor of Stanford University’s Varian Physics Building, which is attached to the Physics/Astrophysics building. The structure encompasses approximately 85,000 GSF on five floors. Three stories are above grade, two stories are below.
During construction, the building was occupied on all other floors and was adjacent to other occupied buildings on the campus. The project included new HVAC and electrical systems, static dissipative flooring, and extensive toolbox story units, as well as the procurement, installation and handling of six air tables to be used for laser research.
